HOW TO GET YOUR PET PORTRAIT PAINTED: PROCEDURE AND FEES
Each pet portrait I paint holds a special meaning to me, I paint it from my soul trying to lovingly capture the hidden spirit, emotions and personality of the pet.
I am an accomplished portrait artist with with over 15 years of experience in commissioned artworks with clients worldwide
I often get commissioned to paint memorial portraits of recently passed, beloved dogs or cats, and I always feel honoured by my customers trust in my ability to bring to life their faithful companions in a bespoke portrait.
Working from your favourite photos, from single or multiple photographs, I’m happy to draw all types of animals, pets and wildlife in any size including miniatures and full life sized.
My favourite mediums for pet portraits paintings include both soft and oil pastels for their luminous quality and ability to capture any nuance in pet’s fur in a delicate, yet vibrant tone;
Sepia pencils, charcoal or graphite pencils for their classical, distinguished timeless feel: beautifully detailed and lifelike, they give a sophisticated, classical finish to the portrait with an almost vintage-like look; portrait drawings are available in many sizes, including miniatures and full life sized.
HOW IT WORKS:
CHOOSING THE PERFECT PHOTO
If you would like to commission a lifelike portrait of your pet, please get in touch, and please send me any photos you are considering for the portrait.
I just need one good quality, clear photo for each animal, while additional ones will be useful to add details.
For a portrait including two or more pets, I can also work from several separate photos: I know how hard it is to get two, three or more pets to sit still in a group photo!
Once I receive and review your photos, we can discuss the style, composition and details about the portrait,
When everything has been decided and agreed and you are ready to proceed, a 50% deposit is required to get started or to retain a place on the wait list;
this is 100% refundable any time before work commences.
Deposit can be paid by credit card via Paypal or by Bank transfer.
I will then start with a sketch of the initial outline of your pet portrait and show it to you via email, to make sure the composition is perfect, and, in case of a group pet portraits, that the size relationship between the pets is correct.
PREVIEW OF THE PORTRAIT FOR YOUR APPROVAL
When the portrait is finished I’ll show you a preview of it by email. At this point you can let me know if I truly captured your pet, both his physical characteristics and his unique character and personality;
if there’s anything you’d like me to alter, I’ll make any adjustments (and send you updated photos of the portrait) and only when you’re completely happy you can proceed with payment just before I’ll ship the portrait.
the portrait will be delivered via courier securely packaged and it will be trackable.
